My sweet summer baby Shay. We celebrated her first year at our first home in Costa Mesa that we were simultaneously saying goodbye to. We had just sold our first house and were moving the following week to Arizona. Shay being the miracle baby she is, everyone wanted to celebrate her and also say our goodbyes. (Tap here to read our IVF journey). The plan was a small intimate gathering on a budget so when I started putting together a garden party for my first little girl, I may have gotten more carried away but I LOVE the way it turned out!
It was one of the hottest days of the entire year so most of the event was outside. I rented tables and chairs from Sweet Salvage and then headed to the flower mart in Orange County to pick up tons and tons of chamomile, eucalyptus and some other greenery. While I set up the refreshments and homemade thank you gifts, my girl Lauren went to work layering some simple floral arrangements.
The day was filled with so much laughter and love. I wish we could do it all again.
